Come see what I've done!

Before & After

1. This client wanted to elevate her shoe closet.  We replaced all of the traditional cardboard boxes with this high-end storage system. This solution gave her the boutique experience in her home, saving her time when putting together an outfit and money as she is not buying duplicates and can find everything in her collection.

2. This was part of a larger kitchen refresh. This family loves to bake and having all of their baking supplies stored together was a game-changer. This encouraged them to streamline their tools and it freed up so much space in the other areas of the kitchen for more efficient kitchen systems.

3. In this small NYC bathroom, the under-sink cabinet was only being utilized about 10%. We sorted the cosmetics and toiletries, then stored them in the right organizing containers for the space to maximize this tight space.

4. This is the same NYC bathroom. We decided to store all skin care and make up products in this cabinet. Creating zones, even in a small space like this, can help each family member feel like they have their own area and it can be maintained easier. We repurposed some of the containers the client already had. (Not pictured here are the little drawers that stored makeup).

5. My client’s daughter wanted to have more playdates in her room. After the first phase of organizing, we decided to pull out the dresser that was originally in the closet. I secured both pieces of furniture together and then to the wall. By utilizing vertical space in the room, we were able to free up space in the closet and other parts of the room for more storage, a desk and so many playdates!

6. This corner was part of a complete basement and garage storage reorganization. I created different zones to accommodate all of the client’s storage needs. This is the cleaning command center where the client can find basic hardware, tools and other supplies for cleaning, waste disposal and pets. In order to keep costs down, we repurposed organizational furniture and containers. By grouping and storing like things together, the client is able to keep an accurate inventory and reclaim valuable space that is dedicated to storing memorabilia.

7. This is part of an ongoing basement overhaul. During the first phase, we cleared things out and mapped each storage zone to meet the needs of this busy family. In this corner, we added cost-effective shelving for storage of seasonal items and decorations. All of the empty bins are ready to fill with holiday decorations.

8. This series of photos shows how a better use of space can improve organization. I helped my client create a better-functioning Painting Studio and Art Reference Library by reconfiguring the space and utilizing the existing furniture in an unexpected way. My first priority was to understand how the artist moved through and used the space, why was she chronically disorganized and how could I use her natural dropping spots and create storage and function around it. I moved both bookcases to the nook, creating a dedicated space for her reference library. This area seemed to get messy at times so it was important to keep it somewhat separate from the creative areas of the studio. I then moved the drawer-unit to a central location with access to all 4 sizes. The drawers continue to store paintings and other references, but we decided to use the surface as paper-cutting and mounting station, which is essential to the artist’s process. We also reorganized the painting station and home office zones of the studio (not pictured) and added a storage bench below the windows to tuck away supplies when not in use.
